I’m so excited to introduce
A Witch’s Ally Oracle—a deck that’s been such a joy to create!

This project is a collaboration between myself and the incredibly talented artist Laura Tempest Zakroff, whose powerful illustrations and custom sigils bring each card to life. Laura designed every sigil especially for this deck to help you connect more deeply with the energy and wisdom of forty-eight magical animal allies.

From Badger and Wolf to Raven and Frog, each card offers the energy and spirit of an animal familiar and invites you to see the world through their eyes. The deck is designed to help you tap into your intuition, notice the magic in your everyday surroundings, and receive guidance from some truly powerful creatures.

In the full-colour, 188-page guidebook, Wisdom of the Witch’s Ally, I share each animal’s keywords, natural history, folklore, instincts, and three inspiring messages to help guide your readings. You’ll also find sample spreads and tips to help you work with the cards in a way that feels intuitive and empowering.

Whether you’re new to animal work or a seasoned practitioner, I hope this deck becomes a trusted companion on your magical path.

Hi, I’m Dodie Graham McKay. I’m a writer, green witch, and filmmaker. I’m inspired to document and share stories that capture the beauty of nature and the visible and invisible realms of magic and witchcraft.

I’m the author of Earth Magic: The Elements of Witchcraft (Llewellyn, 2021) and A Witch’s Ally: Building a Magical Relationship with Animal Familiars & Companions (Llewellyn, 2024).

My documentary films include The WinniPagans, Starry Nights, and the four-part Fibe TV series Exploring the Sacred.

I spend my spare time walking my dogs and facilitating a busy coven. I live in Treaty One Territory, Homeland of the Métis Nation—Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
