This project is a collaboration between myself and the incredibly talented artist Laura Tempest Zakroff, whose powerful illustrations and custom sigils bring each card to life. Laura designed every sigil especially for this deck to help you connect more deeply with the energy and wisdom of forty-eight magical animal allies.
From Badger and Wolf to Raven and Frog, each card offers the energy and spirit of an animal familiar and invites you to see the world through their eyes. The deck is designed to help you tap into your intuition, notice the magic in your everyday surroundings, and receive guidance from some truly powerful creatures.
In the full-colour, 188-page guidebook, Wisdom of the Witch’s Ally, I share each animal’s keywords, natural history, folklore, instincts, and three inspiring messages to help guide your readings. You’ll also find sample spreads and tips to help you work with the cards in a way that feels intuitive and empowering.

and Filmmaker
Dodie Graham McKay (she/her) is a writer, Green Witch, and filmmaker. She is inspired to document and share stories that capture the beauty of nature and the visible and invisible realms of magic and witchcraft.
She is the author of Earth Magic: The Elements of Witchcraft and A Witch’s Ally: Building a Magical Relationship with Familiars & Animal Companions. Expanding upon the teachings and relationships explored in A Witch’s Ally, she is the co-creator of A Witch’s Ally Oracle—a divinatory deck that invites readers into deeper, intuitive partnership with their animal allies and the living currents of magic.
Her documentary films, including The WinniPagans, Starry Nights, and the Fibe TV four-part series Exploring the Sacred, reflect her enduring commitment to honouring contemporary witchcraft and natural magic.
Whether writing, filming, teaching, or facilitating a busy coven, Dodie creates spaces where magic is relational, embodied, and woven into everyday life.
